Describing themselves as the quiet achievers in the Australian White breed, Robert and Leanne Endacott commenced their journey with the Australian White in 2011, founding Red Hill Australian White Stud. Robert and Leanne have both come from a strong, passionate background in sheep and goat production, growing super fine wool, successfully breeding and exporting Boer goats to China and operating their White Dorper stud along with their commercial, self-replacing flock of White Dorper ewes.
Excited about the prospect of being part of a new, dynamic, Australian sheep breed, Robert and Leanne purchased recipient ewes, implanted with Australian white embryo’s in 2011 and from there commenced consecutive embryo programs over four years, leading to increased stock numbers and to date Red Hill Stud boast a substantial flock of six hundred quality true to type breeding stud ewes, stud sires and commercial rams.
Established in 2011 Stud principals Robert and Leanne Endacott along with their daughter Aimee and son in law, Josh have seen their stud move forward at an amazing pace. Robert and Leanne are both fourth generation sheep producers and have a wealth of generational knowledge. Their vision is to see the stud continue its success through future generations, producing high quality, high preforming stock through rigorous pedigree selection.
Aimee and Josh have become very proficient with record keeping with all stock pedigrees meticulously entered to ‘Stockbook.” This program is not only a great time saver but gives us invaluable insight into the breeding performance of each breeding ewe and sire, their date of birth, whether those ewes are producing multiply lambs and a full breeding history of all progenies.
This unique breed, a haired meat sheep consisting of four breeds, the Poll Dorset, White Dorper, Van Rooy and Texel has continually proved themselves as a hardy, resilient breed that meets Australian market requirements and is well suited to varying Australian conditions. Red Hill is committed to breeding Australian Whites that will consistently produce excellent, marketable lambs with exceptional growth rates and early maturity.

Stock agents and processors are impressed by the Australian White breed which have been in high demand and although we saw a significant downturn in the 2023 selling season, markets have bounced back, and we are once again seeing strong market prices.
Clients are providing the stud with tremendous positive feedback and are impressed by our soft easy doing sheep, great carcass and correct conformation, hair pattern and of course excellent eating quality of the Red Hill bloodlines, along with high fertility and lambing percentages.
Three consecutive years of drought really did prove the Australian White breed to be an excellent resilient, non-selective sheep that can browse and convert feed well, while maintaining good body weight and producing lambs that are healthy and robust.
Red Hill Australian White Stud is a family operated concern with Robert and Leanne encouraging their two children, Ethan, and Aimee along with their partners, Jess and Josh to actively take part in this exciting breed.
Recently being asked what was their point of difference, Robert explained that they stand by their motto “When Quality Matters” and uphold that quality and consistency of their stock is foremost to reassure clients they are buying true to type, high quality animals that will profit their enterprise with low inputs.
